Story of Seasons Trio of Towns Blue Pearls
What kind of pearl color your pearl clam will produce is heavily depending on the season and the rarity of that specific color.
However, with the help of certain 'Farm Circle' object, you will be able to manipulate your pearl clam so that it will produce that exactly color you may need to ex. upgrade your watering can or build a certain house style.
More information under the cut!
The Basic:
To start cultivating pearl, you will need both a Fish tank and a bag of pearl culture seed.
You will be able to make and purchase a Fish tank from Ludus' shop on your 2nd year Spring for 1400G &20 Lumbers. The tank is reusable until you choose to disamble it.
As for the pearl culture, you can get them by using fish trap or by purchasing them from Tsuyukusa General Shop Stall (not Hinata's place but the hut beside it!) after your 2nd year of Spring for 300G a bag. It's not reusable and you have to use a new bag after your harvest your pearls.
It takes a week for your pearl to mature after you sow the culture and how much pearl you get is depending on your Pearl Harvester rank (which will increase the more you cultivate pearls). You start with only getting a pearl to harvest from a bag of pearl culture. After harvesting 15 pearls, you will get 2 pearls with each harvest and after harvesting 50 pearls, you will reach the maximal count of 3 pearls harvested from a bag of pearl culture.
About Pearl Color:
White pearl is the most common type and you can get it easily (30% chance) in every season.
Yellow pearl is the next most common one and can be easily found during all season (25% chance on Spring, 20% chance on Winter and Autumn) aside of Summer (3% chance) , which they will be hard to get.
Red pearl is easy to get during Spring (20% chance) and Winter (25% chance), followed by Summer (15% chance) and hard to get during Autumn (3% chance) .
Blue pearl is easy to get during Summer (20% chance) and Autumn (25% chance) , followed by Spring (15% chance) and hard to get during Winter (3% chance) .
Green pearl is more rare and have good chance to be produced by your clam during Summer (25% chance) only. Autumn and Fall have decent chance (15% chance) , and Spring will be a hard time to get it (3% chance).
Lastly, Gold pearl is the rarest color of all and have very low chance (7% chance) to appear all year around.
How to get the exactly pearl colour you want:
Place the right object (depending on which color you want to get) listed below between two fish tank as shown here.
The blue arrows show in which direction that object will affect your tank.
Pulsating blue circle around the fish tank means that the farm circle will work and affect those two tanks.
Placing the object there will make a twinkling sound play, along with glittering fish tank indicating the Farm Circle combo is active now and a message note telling that you will start getting gold pearls will appear.
